Super delicious and tender Kalbi. The hotpot suppose to be the best thing on the menu but I didn't try it yet. Nice place and the staff is friendly.
Came for dinner on a Friday night with a friend. Valet is offered in the lot for $3; valet closed around 9:30 PM and they'll find you inside the restaurant to give you your keys back, along with collect the $3 fee. Service was ok, they speak broken English and they speak Korean. The food was good; we had the seafood pancake and 3 course Shabu Shabu with Beef. The seafood pancake was ok; we asked for the pancake to be extra crispy but it came out a little soggy and with a lot of veggies mixed in. For the 3 course meal, the first course is Shabu Shabu, second is Udon with the same broth, and third is porridge with the same broth and one egg. First course was good, second we skipped, and third was ok; porridge didn't have much flavor. Restaurant was relatively clean, as was the restroom. Price was ok too, not too expensive (~$25-$30/person).
The food is amazing...especially the shabu shabu!
Old school Korean hot pot. So good.
The restaurant made me feel like when I was in Korea. The food was authentic and the staffs was great. It’s a little bit pricey but understandable.
Always great service and awesome food.
Hot Pot is the best here !!! Food , service was great...so fun and healthy eatting for the family..
One of the best korean food place in Koreatown. No wonder all the old korean folks eat at this place so often.
Great experience! The food was sumptuous. Ambience is relaxing. They've got parking within the business premises too!
Great place to get Korean style hot pot. If you are hungry, choose to get more vegetables if you want to save some money because they also fill you up. There are a lot of side dishes that come, so you can also get filled up by eating those with the main course. The service is great, even for our table of 8 as the food came out quickly.
Good food, good portions, nice staff, funny that they spoke so little English
Food is good but overpriced. Hate the fact that you have to valet ($2) on an empty lot.
Fantastic food. Pricey but worth it if you like Korean barbeque ... which I do!
Best hotpot. Tastes healthy, fresh and light.
As a Korean, I was finding for some decent place to enjoy food from my home. My experience here was perfect. Galbitang was pretty outstanding and both quality and quantity of the food was great. I really recommend this place for both foreigners who want to enjoy Korean food and also Korean too.
Seoul garden one of popular menu is shabu-shabu. cold noodles was good too but i ordered combo menu as come with galbi. The galbi wasn't great.
We ordered the half and half Seoul Garden Restaurant and spicy chicken. The platter comes with salad, chips and salsa, corn, and fried chicken gizzards. The salsa for the chips was different than you would expect, but delicious. The corn was a creamy cheesy yummy delight! I let my date eat the gizzards...not my thing but he said they were good as well. This was a totally random random visit from one of google advertisements that I bookmarked and I'm so glad I remembered. I will definitely return!
Best place. A bit expensive though.
I don't want to give even 1 starThey should learn how to treat customer.Expensive and terrible service
Go here for the Korean version of Shabu Shabu - it's their specialty and they've been serving it for over 10 years. It is a bit pricey, but it is extremely filling.
Food was good, service was excellent, 4 stars because of the bad fishy smell inside the restaurant.
The hot pot is wonderful. The porridge made with the cooking broth at the end of the meal is life-changing. If you don't speak Korean, then staff at a lot of Korean places can be cold at best or downright hateful toward you at worst; however, at this place, people have always been friendly. Best experience I have had in a Korean restaurant in LA.
The food is very, very good at this place. I would highly recommend to anyone. If this is your first Korean BBQ experience, then read up on the menu before coming because this place is very traditional and we had trouble communicating with our server. However, she was very helpful and did her best to answer our questions.
Good service. Huge markup on their signature dish (the Genghis Khan hot pot), but they do have high quality sides. They should work on decor, though... fake ceramic dishes and flowers diminishes the experience somewhat
Love their Shabu shabu and good service, makes you really feel at home
It's fine for Shabu Shabu. if you want more Korean Food, I Would eat elsewhere. Service is rude. have to asked for everything. Maybe they are short staffed.
Absolutely delicious hot pot. They have a chicken, beef, Kobe beef, and pork hot pot. They will serve side dishes like kimchi and porridge at the end with an egg and seaweed. Would highly recommend the beef hot pot. Valet is only $2.
Food good, but they didn't really service us. We mainly forgot about us or were semi rude and they demanded more for tip.
I've been coming here since I was a child. The quality has always been great and has never dissapointed. My favorite thing here is the fried rice they make on your grill at the end of the meal.
Good services... food is delicious.
The Korean style family hot pot is so great here! The Korean perilla leaves (its like a shiso leaf cousin) with the good ponzu type dipping sauce take the meat to another level. Comfort food, and a meal to share at its very finest. Definitely one to put on your LA Korean meal list!!!
Dingy old place. Feels very stuffy in there because of the tight space. Did not feel good there with my kid because the high chair requires blocking traffic where hot grills and dishes pass by. Service is poor because they understaff, yet their prices are pretty expensive. If you want beef options, Dong Il Jang on 8th and Hobart is much better. FYI - Dong Il Jang was featured on Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown and it's really amazing. If you want Shabu, Shabu Hyang on Western and Wilshire, or Shin Jung on 6th and Kenmore is better.
I absolutely like their food and customer service, good area nearby to my home. The employees are always super friendly. Will come visit again.
Great shabu experience.
Very yummy Korean food
After cooking all of your meat and vegetables, they’ll add udon noodles, and then finally make rice porridge from the soup leftovers with egg and seaweed.
Great Korean bar bq and best fried rice ever
I tried this spot in the past with my friend and I am addicted since then. I love the excellent vibes and delicious dishes and drinks. Kudos.
Once me and my family showed up 30 minutes after they opened. Everything was already set up inside but when we were outside the door some Korean lady shoooed us away and said they were closed due to remodeling but an hour later the restaurant was already full with a line outside. If ur not Korean and u enjoy being discriminated and humiliated against then come here!
Excellent Shabo Shabo.
Korean food, awesome. service is excellent even when they are busy. i can see why they have a lot of good reviews.
Delightful to have authentic Korean food. We came after lunch rush hour. The service is good!
They serve best buckwheat cold noodle with marinated beef in this area
Different type of shabu shabu than what you'll find in Koreatown. This place is much more old school and certainly has less variety in terms of the vegetable offerings. Still, I find myself visiting here at least once or twice per year because there is something about it that stands out from the many hot pot offerings in LA.
These ladies were nice and kind from the moment I walked in. I lost my phone and they let me use the phone to call my husband. They knew it was our first time at hot pit so they took good care of us. My daughter took on to a certain server and she was just so sweet to my daughter on her 1 yr birthday. We ordered the beef. The food was good, you put veggies and beef in broth, repeat. Then they add noodles and made soup from broth, then a porridge. It was also healthy. Were not from the area but we will come back to visit when we come back.
korean food at this spot - excellent. Good place to relax and unwind. This place has an awesome atmosphere.
Fine scene for delicious korean food. Loved this place from the first taste. I will probably become a regular. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.
Food good but waitress is not best service
Our waitress took over 20 minutes to acknowledge us. The place wasn't busy at all, so I dont understand why she took forever to even bring us water. I was asking her questions about the menu and she seemed clueless, and was not helpful at all. We walked out without ordering.
Excellent quality food, authentic. Restaurant aged needs update, if that's important to you.
